Nursing (School Nurse Credential)
The School Nurse Services Credential Program provides basic preparation for professional roles in school nursing. The program, approved by the California Commission on teacher Credentialing, leads to the Professional Clear School Nurse Services Credential. The program of study consists of a minimum of 27 units. The program is divided into Phase I (15 units) and Phase II (12 units). The core school nurse courses, Phase II, are offered online. Distance learners will take their practicum experience with a qualified preceptor in their own geographical area. Some Phase I courses, prerequisites to core school nurse coursework, are offered online through CSU, Fresno.
