The doctoral program in Clinical Psychology was developed to train students for careers in a professional practice. The degree, Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.), is offered to those seeking an educational and training program designed for professional application. The Clinical Psychology program is based on the belief that a thorough understanding of the comprehensive body of psychological knowledge, skills and attitudes is essential for the psychologist. The acquisition of this broad-based understanding requires a curriculum presented both didactically and experientially, which covers theory, skills, training, and supervised field experience, with faculty and supervisors as role models.
