Nursing (Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult and Aging)
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an expert in evidence-based practice, integrating knowledge of disease and medical treatments into the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients’ illnesses. The curriculum offers opportunity for student to choose a selected area of nursing such as general medical or surgical, diabetes, neurology, or critical care and a focus on physiological or educational aspects of patient or nursing system needs. It builds on the content of the baccalaureate degree and emphasizes theories for advanced practice, physiology, pharmacology, socio-cultural concepts, research, and role development.
