The faculty and staff are proud to provide the High Desert with a wide array of courses and programs that will enable you to achieve your academic and career goals. Our academic programs will prepare you for transfer to a four-year college or university and our vocational programs will train you to enter high-skill, high-wage careers.
The CNA course enables students to become familiar with basic principles of nursing, including procedures and techniques. Clinical experience is provided in extended care facilities. Students will learn to provide and meet the patient's basic physical and psychological needs and promote a spirit of restoration and independence in a safe, efficient and competent manner.
