Golden West College
The mission of Golden West College is to support students' goals and interests in higher education, develop their employment skills, prepare them to be productive citizens and respond to community needs by providing a range and variety of educational programs; two year degrees; transfer preparation; career and technical training, and remedial activities. We encourage all members of our learning communities to grow to their maximum potential as they contribute to the well-being of our diverse society.
Nursing (RN)
Currently, the Nursing program includes the Basic Associate Nursing degree program and the Career ladder LVN – RN program. Enrollment in our programs is about 250 students during any given term. This number has increased recently, due to the addition of a weekend program for our generic nursing students. This program was made possible by grant funding and the support of many community sponsors. We are very proud to have an active California Nursing Student Association (CNSA) whose members contribute to the program and the community in which we live.
The Nursing Program at Golden West College is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
