The Speech Pathology Assistant program was designed to meet the growing need for speech-language pathologists in school special education programs. The college provides an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree program in speech-language pathology assistance, which allows the student to work as an assistant under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist. This program follows the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association SLPA guidelines, and fulfills the California Department of Consumer Affairs requirements for SLPS registration.
