At Mesa College, students will find a wide and diverse array of courses and programs leading to the A.A. or A.S. degree in both academic and vocational subjects, as well as programs leading to occupational certificates. Students may also pursue programs of general interest.
Dental Assisting/Assistant
A dental assisting certificate will give you the credentials to immediately begin working as a dental assistant, front office receptionist, or dental office manager. Our Dental Assisting Program will introduce you to the clinical, laboratory, and administrative aspects of dentistry and prepare you for a career in a rapidly growing industry. Our Program has the highest pass rate for the state exam (RDA) of all the dental assisting programs in southern California. This field offers excellent opportunities. Good entry level jobs can lead to career advancement. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics from now through 2014, one out of every four new jobs created in the United States will be in the fields of health care or education. By 2012 health care alone will add 4.4 million jobs to the U.S. economy.
