Bay Area Medical Academy
Bay Area Medical Academy specializes in short-term career training programs designed to get you in and out of school in as little as 3-6 months.
We are committed to the success of our students, and provide a nurturing learning environment where every student receives personalized attention. We are a smaller school and that is what makes us better. For example, our staff, instructors and administrators know every student by their first name. We structure our classes to ensure hands-on learning, a small student-to-teacher ratio, and provide additional coaching and lab practice hours for students who need it.
We not only prepare our students for successful entry into the medical field, but also develop a strong bond with each individual throughout their careers.
Medical Assistant
Our nine-month Medical Assistant program is intended to provide the entry-level student with a solid foundation in the clinical and administrative duties needed for a successful entry into the medical field. Our program prepares you for all three certifications: National Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician and National Certified EKG Technician. Our program covers clinical duties (recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood and administering medications as directed by a physician), administrative duties (scheduling appointments, medical records and billing, and coding for insurance purposes) and general duties (prioritizing and performing multiple tasks and patient education).
